This function allows you to lock the cursor onto an indicated arc or circle entity. The cursor is locked to the circumference of the arc or circle.
Procedure
To lock the cursor onto an indicated arc or circle entity:

Select arc/circle to lock onto
Position the cursor near the arc or circle entity you would like to lock to, and then press [Enter] or click to indicate the arc or circle.

LOCK ARC appears in the Status Bar.

If the cursor lock is indicated in black text, it is not active.
Press [+] on the numeric keypad to activate the lock. The cursor lock is indicated in red text when the lock is active.

A red diamond is indicated on the screen when the cursor is locked. The diamond will only move in the circle or the circle created by the arc circumference whilst the cursor is free to move anywhere.

You can now select the line function and press [Enter] over the required start point.

Press [Enter] or click to set the line in place. Alternatively, press [+] on the numeric keypad to deactivate the cursor lock and draw the end point away from the circle. The locked cursor can also be unlocked by pressing [Ctrl+U] or [K]+[U]; or selecting Tools ► Lock Cursor ► Unlock.
