View and edit the table styles in the drawing and set the current table style.

This function allows you to manage the table styles in the drawing. You can add new styles, remove styles or edit existing table styles. The Table Styles do not allow you to add extra rows, columns or edit the table text. To do this you need to select the table and view its properties (see Insert Table).

Table styles referenced by tables in the drawing cannot be removed.

Procedure

The Table Styles window displays.

Add a New Style

To add a new table style:

  1. Click Add.  

  2. Enter a unique name for the table style and click OK.  

  1. The new name is verified for uniqueness. If the name already exists, the following Error message display. Click OK and re-enter a new name.

  1. The new table style appears in the Table Styles list, and it's settings are copied from the previous selected table style.

Existing Styles

Change an Existing Style

  1. Select the table style name in the list of tables. The selected table style's properties display in the table style grid, and a sample displays in the preview window.  

  2. To modify the text alignment, click in the row of the text to align. A down arrow tab appears. Select the alignment option from the list. The preview window updates.

  1. The Text Style can be selected in the same way.  The Text Styles available are the text styles that have been set in the Text Styles settings.

  1. To change the Text Height, click in the text box and type in the value you require. The preview is updated when you click in another box.

  2. To change the Text Colour, right-click the colour box to change. The Colour Selection window displays. Select the colour and click OK to update the text colour.

  1. The Grid Colour can be selected in the same way as the Text Colour.

  1. To select a colour as a background fill for the table, right-click on the Fill Clr box in the row whose colour you want to change. Select the new colour form the Colour Selection palette.

  1. The Cell margins allows you to specify the horizontal and vertical margins for all table cells.

  1. You can turn off rows by deselecting the check box options in Table options.

Apply Style to Existing Tables

To apply the changes to a table in the drawing:

  1. Select the table style you want to apply from the table list.  

  2. Click Apply to open the Apply Table Style window. Here you can apply selected table style elements to specific sets of tables in the drawing.

Delete an Existing Style

To remove a table style from the Table Styles list:

  1. Select the style to be removed.  

  2. If the table style has not been used in the current drawing, the Remove button is enabled.

  3. Click Remove.

  4. Click Yes to confirm the deletion of the table style; or No to return to the Table Styles.
