Zoom Selected

Zoom the active viewport to show just the selected entities.

This function allows you to zoom to view all the selected entities in the drawing. The active viewport zooms to show all the selected entities in the drawing.

Procedure

If you have split the drawing into multiple viewports, you need to click in the viewport you want to zoom to make it the active viewport.

1. Select the entities in the drawing that you want to zoom to by clicking on them or using a selection box.

2. Select View ► Zoom ► Zoom Selected or click the icon in the Zooms toolbar. Alternatively, press [Z]+[S]. If you use the keyboard option and press [Z], the pop-up Zoom menu will appear. You can now either select the Zoom Window option or press [S] to initiate the function.

3. The active viewport zooms to show the selected entities in the drawing.

4. Press [R] to zoom back to the paper extents.
