This function allows you to activate/de-activate the cursor lock  When the cursor lock is activated, the lock is shown in red text in the Status Bar. A red diamond appears on the drawing to indicate the lock.

Procedure

The locked cursor is indicated in the Status Bar. The black text indicates that the lock has been selected but is inactive.

To activate the cursor lock:

  1. Select Tools ► Lock Cursor ► Hold; press [+] or  the icon in the Screen toolbar. Alternatively, you can press [K] and select the Hold/Unhold option from the menu; or press [K]+[H ] keys on keyboard to select the Hold/Unhold option.

  1. The cursor lock is activated and the lock is shown in red text in the Status Bar.

A red diamond is also shown in the drawing area indicating the current cursor position and the lock.

  1. To deactivate the cursor lock, press [+] on the numeric keypad; or select Tools ► Lock Cursor ► Hold.. Alternatively, you can unlock the cursor by pressing [Ctrl+U] or [K]+[U]; or selecting Tools ► Lock Cursor ► Unlock.
