DP Local

Switch the coordinate display between world and local coordinates.

This function allows you to switch the coordinate display between global and local coordinates. The text in the Status Bar turns red if the local coordinate display is active.

Procedure

To switch the coordinate display between global and local coordinates:

1. Select Settings ► Toggles ► DP Local or click the icon at the bottom right of the screen. Alternatively, press [F8].  

2. The text in the icon turns red if the DP Local is active.

• • The drawing below shows the Drawing Plane Indicator positioned at the origin.  The  world coordinates are shown as the DP Local option is not selected.

• • The drawing below shows the Drawing Plane Indicator positioned at the origin with the DP Local option selected.  The coordinates are displayed in the Drawing Plane co-ordinate system (effectively a 2D coordinate).
