Divide and Edit

Divide an entity and edit one segment thereof.

Procedure

1. You are prompted to:

Select line or arch to edit (between divide points)

In this instance you want to divide the line into three segments, and change the line style and colour of the centre section.

2. Select the line. It will be highlighted.

3. You are prompted to:

Indicate first divide point

4. Click on the first point where you want to break the line entity.

5. You are prompted to:

Indicate second divide point

6. Click on the second break point.

The line entity is divided into three segments and the centre segment is selected.

7. You are prompted to:

Edit the selected line in Properties Bar, Esc when done

8. The Properties Bar displays so you can change the attributes of the selected segment. In this instance you will change the line style and colour.

9. Press [Esc] to apply your changes.
