Move to Back

Move selected entities behind all other drawing entities.

This function allows you to move the selection set to the back of all the other drawing entities.

The selected entities may only appear to have moved after you have performed a Refresh or a Redraw.

Procedure

1. Select the entities to be moved to the back by clicking on them or dragging a selection box around them. You could also use the standard selection functions, including Select All, Select by Polygon, Select by Filter and Invert Selection, to create the required selection of entities you wish to save. If nothing is selected and you try to move it, AllyCAD displays the following message.

2. This diagram shows the original drawing with the circle at the back, the triangle in the middle and the square in the front.

3. Select the square.

4. Move the entity to the back by selecting Edit ► Draw Order ► Move to Back or clicking the icon in the Draw Order toolbar. The selected entity now appears behind the other entities in the drawing. The square is now moved behind the circle and triangle.

  You may be required to perform a Redraw before the entities actually appear to be moved.
