This function allows you to move one or more entities that are obscuring another entity, to behind the entity. First select the entities to be moved and then indicate the entity behind which the selection set must move.

The selected entities may only appear to be at the back after you have performed a Refresh or a Redraw.

Procedure

  1. Select the entity to be moved behind another entity by clicking on it or dragging a selection box around it. You can also use the standard selection functions, including Select All, Select by Polygon, Select by Filter and Invert Selection, to create the required selection of entities you want to save. If nothing is selected and you try to move it, AllyCAD displays the following message.

  1. The diagram shows an original drawing with the circle at the back, the triangle in the middle and the square in the front.

  1. Select the square.

  1. Move the entity to behind the triangle by selecting Edit ► Draw Order ► Move behind Entity or clicking the icon in the Draw Order toolbar.

  2. You are prompted to:

Indicate entity behind which the selection set will be moved

  1. Position the cursor over the entity, in this example the triangle, and press [Enter] or click. The selected entity appears behind the indicated entity in the drawing.

You may be required to perform a Redraw before the entities actually appear to be moved.
