Drawing

This function allows you to draw a  polygon on the inside of an imaginary circle, with the radius indicated in the Control Bar by defining a centre point for the bounding circle and a midpoint of a side of the polygon.

Draw the polygon by setting the number of sides, entering the first point and dragging the polygon to the required size.  The radius of the imaginary circle, and the angle at which to draw the polygon, can also be inserted to draw the polygon to a specific size.

You can start drawing a polygon and change its characteristics by changing the values in the Control Bar before entering the corner point of the polygon. Press [Tab] to move between the prompt boxes to set the number of Sides, Radius and Angle.

Procedure

  1. You are prompted to:

Indicate centre point of polygon

  1. Click or press [Enter] in the drawing to indicate the centre of the polygon.

  2. You are prompted to:

  1. You can change the number of sides, the radius of the imaginary circle the polygon is drawn around, and the angle the polygon is drawn at. To do this, click in the text boxes in the Control Bar or press [Tab] to move between the edit options, and then type in the required measurements. As you move the mouse, the rubberbanded polygon is drawn using the centre point you indicated and the current mouse position.

  1. Indicate the midpoint of the polygon by clicking in the drawing or pressing [Enter] in the required position.

  2. Right-click the screen and select Quit to end the function. Alternatively, press [Esc].
