Balloon

Draw a text item in an enclosing balloon.

This function allows you to draw a circle around the input text, and add multiple leaders and an arrow.

The text item, the enclosing circle, and the leaders and arrow are added in the current pen and line style.

Procedure

1. The Balloon Settings allow you to specify the text and the text size for the balloon.

2. Type in the required text, text size and arrow length in drawing units, and then click OK.

3. You are prompted to:

Indicate text position for balloon

4. Indicate the centre position of the text item and enclosing circle.

5. You are prompted to:

Indicate next point of arrow (SPACE to end)

6. Indicate the endpoint of the leader line as shown below.

7. You are again prompted to:

Indicate next point of the arrow (SPACE to end)

7. Continue to define bend points in the arrow leader line. Alternatively, right-click and select the Quit.

8. The CAD now prompts for the balloon text again. This time it has incremented the text string. In this example, it has incremented the text string from MH1 to MH2.

9. Type in new values, or click Cancel to terminate the function.
