Civil Designer and AllyCAD reach new heights with 2010 Infrastructure demand

It was our greatest pleasure to see all the old faces and some new faces at IMESA this year, which was held from 28th - 30th October at the Cape Town International Conference Centre. This conference offered delegates the opportunity to share ideas and debate the challenges facing engineers in the municipal environment, particularly around infrastructure sustainability. We thoroughly enjoyed chatting to you all about your current engineering projects and were happy to also announce the release of AllyCAD 2010 to much excitement. The new version is fully compatible with the latest DWG drawing structure and brings forth the advantage of 3D design should you require it. As always, AllyCAD 2010 comes complete with its sought after industry toolkits and has many other user-friendly features to speed up your design time.

In terms of CIVIL DESIGNER, it was great to hear and see that the vast majority of all Southern African Civil Engineering Consultants as well as national, provincial and local government have standardized on our software. It was our greatest pleasure to showcase many of your impressive projects that have been completed with CIVIL DESIGNER, or talk about ones that are currently underway. Projects such as Gautrain, the World Cup stadiums (including Soccer City, Cape Town Stadium and Moses Mabhiba Stadium), the East London IDZ, the Coega development zone, the Koeberg and Allendale interchanges, King Shaka International Airport, Hospital Bend and virtually every other important highway, road and town infrastructure project in the country.

It has taken us 20 years to become the infrastructure design standard in South Africa, we would like to thank you all for making us number 1.

Lastly, without you all, South Africa would simply not be able to meet the infrastructure and 2010 demands that we are experiencing. It truly excites us to see the changes taking place today.
